A WATER STOP is usually a section of flexible waterproof material placed at any jointin concrete to prevent the passage of water. Waterstop plays a critical role in the integrity of concrete structures. It is used as a fluid-tight diaphragm, embedded in concrete, across and along the joint, for primary and secondary containment structures.
The superior chemical resistance of RUBBER WATERSTOP Rubber Waterstop is available in a 6, 8, 9 and 10 inch width for dumbell flat type and 6, 8, 9, and 10 inch width for dumbell center bulb type. It provides for greater mechanical bonding with the concrete and a barrier against migration of liquid flow around the waterstop. The dumbell center bulb type also allows for joint movement. The width of the waterstop must be less than the thickness of the concrete.
